If you have returned from the specific areas below since February 19th 2020, you should call 111 and self-isolate even if you do not have the symptoms:

  • Iran
  • Specific lockdown areas in Northern Italy as designated by the Government of Italy
  • Special care zones in South Korea (Daegu or Cheongdo) as designated by the Government of the Republic of South Korea
  • Wuhan and Hubei province

If you have returned from these areas since February 19th 2020 and develop symptoms, however mild, you should self-isolate at home and immediately call 111. You do not need to self-isolate if you have no symptoms:

  • Italy
  • Vietnam
  • Cambodia
  • Laos
  • Myanmar
  • Hong Kong
  • Japan
  • Macau
  • Malaysia
  • Singapore
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand
  • Republic of Korea (except Daegu or Cheongdo)
  • China (except Wuhan city and Hubei province)

Those who have returned from previous identified areas within the last 14 days and develop symptoms, however mild, should self-isolate at home immediately and call 111

The BMA has recommended that GP Practices suspend online appointment booking during the Corona outbreak
