You can find the updated information on our website here https://www.allesleyparkmedicalcentre.co.uk/Coronavirus/Covid-19-vaccine.

Unity PCN Covid-19 Vaccination Programme

Our practice is part of the Unity Primary Care Network, which also includes Engleton House Surgery and Broomfield Park Medical Centre.  Together we are coordinating the Covid-19 vaccination programme for our patients within our network. Vaccinations will be given at one central site and the programme is due to commence week beginning 11th January 2021. Care homes and housebound patients will be contacted separately to arrange their vaccinations.

Two vaccines are given and therefore two appointments will be booked 21 days apart for the first and second dose. It is important that patients attend for both vaccines at the same centre.

It is advised that you are observed for 15 minutes after the vaccination, so please bear that in mind when booking your appointments.

Who Will Receive the Covid-19 Vaccination?

Covid-19 vaccinations will be administered to the below cohorts in the order that the cohorts are listed below. We are inviting patients based on the national guidance (determined by the Joint Committee for Vaccinations & Immunisations). Please do not contact the Practice to book your Covid-19 Vaccination until you have received your invitation.

1. All those aged 80 and over and Health and Social Care Workers.
2. All those aged 75 and over.
3. All those aged 70 and over.
4. All those aged 65 and over.
5. High risk adults under 65 years of age (the criteria for ‘high risk’ will be provided by the JCVI).
6. Moderate-risk adults under 65 years of age (the criteria for ‘moderate-risk’ will be provided by the JCVI).
7. All those aged 60 and over.
8. All those aged 55 and over.
9. All those aged 50 and over.

Where is the Vaccination Site?

We will be running a joint vaccination clinic at Broomfield Park Medical Centre, Spon End, Coventry, CV1 3HQ; this is next to the Butt’s Rugby Club. You can only attend the site if you have a booked appointment or are driving someone to their appointment. If you arrive at the site without an appointment you will not be seen.

When you arrive at your appointment please be aware there is very limited parking available at Broomfield Park Medical Centre but you can use pay and display at the Butts Rugby Club or street parking.

I am Housebound, How do I get Vaccinated?

If you are a care home resident or we already provide you with home-visits, you will be contacted at a later date to arrange your vaccinations.
